Instructional Strategies:
Day 1: Introduce unit. Go over procedures on how to use the
computer. Explain that students need to stay on websites that have been preselected. Show students informational
pamphlet. Explain to students informational pamphlets. Break students into groups of three and explain their taks.
Days 2 -4: Have students acces the computers and work on their assigned
tasks. Use the websites to answer questions assigned to students. Have them find graphics and save them to the
computer's deskstop and record the website for reference.
Days 5 -7: In small groups, have students access computers to complete
assigned tasks. Have students use a word processing software to create the informational pamphlets. Students need
to insert graphics as needed. Edit and revise as needed.
Required Materials: computers with Internet access, word processing
software, paper and pencil, copy of rubric
